The 2001 Atlanta Invitational Classic
 A fundraising event, featuring The First Annual Atlanta Invitational Basketball Classic, featuring The Harlem Globetrotters, was held November 16-17, 2001, at the Forbes Arena, at Morehouse College.

Participating schools included: Clark University, Atlanta, No. Carolina Central University, Fayetteville St. University, Howard University, Morehouse College and Lane College. Festivities began on Thursday November 15, 2001 with a kick-off reception. This event was proceeded by a Battle of the Pep Bands, Cheerleaders & Dance Teams. Kenneth S. Hudson, was the recipient of the Investment Atlanta, Inc. Outstanding Community Contribution Award 2001.
